Time has flown....

Well, I can only say that my absence from blogging has been too long, what have I been doing for over a year that has meant I haven't had just 5 minutes to ramble on about my day , oh I remember, I had my second daughter, these babies do seem to keep you occupied, and when they are not occupying your time you are probably fast asleep on the sofa, waking up with a start to drink that cold cup of tea you made.

I am going to try to make an effort to  put more on here, may go back in time and look at some of those things from the last year or so,

Here goes nothing then, hello again and let's not leave it so long next time.....

"WE ARE LIKE A BUDGET SEX IN THE CITY......"

On a rainy Saturday, after having eaten a full english breakfast and watched England play a shocking game of rugby, I got into Karen's car and we made our way into Stamford to meet Kerrie.

Following a lengthy discussion on BBM we established that she was in Costa and we were to meet her there.
Tea was the first thing required, everybody knows a cup of tea is the answer to all problems!! Following the pouring of the tea a lengthy chat was had dissecting the events of the night before....including a shelf incident in a Stamford pub!
The next topic was food.....having had my full english, and not being quite as hungover as the others, I was not so ravenous, when Katie arrived we made our way down the high street, still attempting to decide which establishment would provide just the right thing for lunch.
After a brief stroll we ended up in Pizza Express.

Dough balls and drinks were ordered, and the chat continued....deciding what to eat was scuppered by the distraction of yet more gossiping!

It was so nice to be out with the girlies, talking about things that shouldn't be overheard by the small children sat at the table next to us....it was at this point that Kerrie piped up with these amusing words.... "we are like a budget sex in the city" much cackling was to follow, the streets of Stamford don't compare to those of New York City, but it goes to show that as long as you have your friends with you it doesn't matter where you are.

I thank you ladies for a lovely lunch, some juicy topics of conversation, laughter and friendship. I urge all of you out there to make the time in your busy lives, sit and talk, it's actually very theraputic.

MY LOVE OF LETTERS

So, in this modern world of the internet it is very easy to forget how nice it can be to receive REAL post..... I do not mean nasty bills....yuk.....oh no, I mean a handwritten letter from an old friend or much loved family member.
It is for this reason that I allow myself the guilty pleasure of nice stationery, I go for glitter, flowers, hearts and most of all......I add a little 'sender' label on the back of the envelope that is seasonally planned.

Currently I am using the little halloween pumpkin labels, seeing as it's October and nearly time to trick or treat!
I don't think i write nearly as many proper letters as I should, however, I am intending to write many more.

I have letters that were sent to me when I was a little girl, and love to look back through them, it tells the story of my life, and reminds me of so many happy memories.
I have letters from people that are no longer here, and that makes me smile.
my last word on this, please write a letter......imagine the joy when it arrives, and think how nice it will be to get one back.

A BIG HELLO FROM ME

So, I have been an admirer of blogging for some time now, I appreciate the frankness and honesty with which people are able to express themselves and their views on the world around them...... so I thought why not, bite the bullet and have a go.......
I cannot promise sense, or as much frankness as others, however I will give it a damn good go.
So, my hello.... I am thirty two, and have a five year old, I am a childminder, and have a degree.
I enjoy the company of my friends, and love nothing more than a good cup of tea, with a biscuit or two for luck!!

So for now, I am going to go and will be back with my thoughts soon.
